I AM A WOMAN Poster
This poster was created in support of the Women’s March on Washington D.C. held on January 21, 2017. It references the iconic sign created as part of the 1968 Martin Luther King Memorial March for Union Justice and to End Racism in Memphis Tennessee. This update draws on that important history but repurposes its message to align with the Women’s March’s concern over women’s rights. In recreating the sign, we left off the “Wo” and allowed each individual protestor to write their own “Wo” as a way of personalizing their own sign.
This project was awarded a D&AD Wood Pencil.
